You take on the role of Lee, a former convict turned hero when a zombie outbreak sweeps across the globe. As Lee, you make tough decisions with far-reaching consequences. Few games on the iPhone – or anywhere else, really – have this kind of foresight and organization necessary to produce a game truly tailored to the actions of the player.
If you are looking for something to immerse yourself in during that long bus ride home, then this is the game you want to pick up.

3. Wind-up Knight – Free – Robot Invader
This simple platformer puts you in control of a wind-up knight dashing across the land to save the princess.
If you are thinking this sounds a little like Mario – the similarities are only skin-deep. Instead of moving the character left or right, the action is done for you. All you have to do is jump, attack, shield yourself or duck whenever there is a cliff, enemy, falling rock or crawlspace.
I should clarify since this has been a point of contention; players are encouraged to use real money to make the game progress faster. The first set of levels is free. If you are skilled enough, you can purchase and unlock all of the levels in the game using in-game currency you accumulate.
